Hi ! I'm Ashley. I am an independent artist based in Toronto, Canada. I enjoy creating eye catching works with my unique use of colour, line and shapes.

Most of my inspiration comes from observing life. I aim to connect with my audience through the emotion in my work. As a black woman highlighting the beauty and strength of the black community is important to me as well as encouraging conversations about expression and mental health within the community because it has been a very stigmatized subject.

I began drawing cartoons in middle school so cartoons are a big part of my inspiration. I am also inspired by surrealism, graphic art, fashion, beauty and nature. I feel like the foundation of being an artist is experimentation as we should constantly be evolving. This encourages me to explore different styles as well as mediums.
